W.M. Allee, father of John P. Allee, of this city, died Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at his home near Belle Union. Death resulted from pleurise. Mr. Allee was one of Putnam’s best known citizens.

Died at his late residence in Jefferson Township of grippe on Feb 7, 1895, William M. Allee, father of John P. Allee of this city aged 78 years. Deceased was one of the old, well known and highly respected citizens of Putnam County and his death is widely mourned. The funeral took place on Saturday; burial at Mill Creek Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Elders Dolby and MM Hurst. – kbz

The will of William Allee, deceased has been placed on record at the Clerk’s office; it was executed in June 1889 and was witnessed by William D. Hill and Hugh H. Parker; John P. Allee and Quinton Broadstreet are named as executors and the provisions of the will are that all the estate goes to the widow, Mrs. Amanda T. Allee; at her death it is to be divided in equal shares between the children to wit: Nancy J. McAaninch; John P. Allee; Mary A. Tinder; Frank B. Allee; Ada Allee and Uly Allee.
